What is Adult Foster
Care?
AFC is a licensed family setting for
adults who are unable to live alone due
to physical, emotional, or developmental
impairments. The home provides 24 hour
care. Residents receive meals, support,
supervision and assistance with
medications and personal care.
How do I know when my loved one needs
AFC assistance?
Any combination of these indicators
may mean that you could benefit from
living in a foster home:
Difficulty preparing meals or
maintaining adequate nutrition.
Forgetting to take medications or
taking wrong amounts.
Inability to manage daily personal
needs such as bathing, dressing,
grooming, shopping, cooking, laundry or
transportation.
Chronic or recurring episodes of
illness or rehabilitation.
Difficulty coping with feelings of
depression, anxiety or fear.
Difficulty remembering people, places,
or other things that were once familiar.
You family and friends are no longer
able to provide adequate care and
support.
Who provides the care in the home?
The owner’s, and trained staff upon
owners absence.
Would I
feel comfortable living with other
residents and caregivers in the home?
We pride ourselves in providing a
Christian family setting with lots of
love and compassion. We are one big
family where everyone enjoys the others
company. We do everything as a group and
are very close.
What are the costs for room/board and
services?
Our rent is based on the
individual’s room (private or
semi-private) along with the level of
care needed.
May we tour the home and visit with
the resident’s ?
Yes, we encourage you to take the
time to do this. Remodeling our home has
been an ongoing project, we are always
happy and proud to show you around
anytime.
